Jun 16, 2020 (newstodate): Icelandair is now preparing for a summer season with more flights and route openings.
As Iceland has lifted the lid on travel from June 15, 2020, Icelandair will gradually launch flights to 26 destinations instead of 11 as earlier announced, planning for 41 weekly flight operations.
During the past few weeks, Icelandair has been operating only to Stockholm, London and Boston under a special agreement with the government to maintain air connectivity.
Flights to Amsterdam, Berlin, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Oslo and Zurich were then added to the schedule, but from June 29, flights will commence from Iceland to Chicago, Dublin, Helsinki, Seattle, Toronto and Washington.
Next, flights will be added, beginning July 6, 2020, to New York, Minneapolis, Glasgow, Dusseldorf, and Billund.
Finally in this round of planning, flights will be added from July 13 to Denver, Hamburg, and Madrid.
