Jun 22, 2020 (newstodate): The Estonian carrier Nyxair, based at Tallinn Airport, has landed an agreement with the Swedish airline Air Leap for flights to take off in August 2020.
The ACMI agreement covers operations on Swedish domestic routes to and from Stockholm Bromma Airport with three SAAB 2000 aircraft.
Managed by Jaanus Ojamets as CEO, Nyxair obtained its AOC in March 2018 with one SAAB 340 aircraft in the fleet, in 2018-19 increasing to three SAAB passenger and one SAAB 340 cargo aircraft.
The carrier took delivery of its three ex-Loganair SAAB 2000 aircraft leased from Jetstream Aviation Capital in spring 2020, and has since been recruiting cockpit crews for this new aircraft type.
