Jun 12, 2020 (newstodate): Since April 26, 2020, Air Canada has been online with weekly all-cargo flights between Toronto and Copenhagen Airport.
Initially, the operation offered in a cooperation between Air Canada and HWF comprised six Airbus A330-300 passenger aircraft converted to all-cargo operations - but by the end of the initial period a decision was made to continue the service at least till the end of July, 2020.
-The new series of flights will be operated by the more fuel efficient and slightly more cargo friendly Boeing 787-9 aircraft on Sundays, says Nicolaj Mariegaard, HWF Managing Director Denmark.
-Sufficient base loads of heavy machinery, pharmaceuticals, spare parts, enzymes and other vital supplies lay the grounds for the operation that provides smooth connections in Toronto to a growing network of all-cargo pax flights to North and South America as well as to Asia, says Mr Mariegaard.
Copenhagen Airport will however have to wait till winter to see Air Canada returning services after the current suspension.
According to the latest schedule update, Air Canada will not set up flights from Toronto to Copenhagen until the start of the coming winter schedule by October 2020, earlier planning for return of services already from June 24, 2020.
Since June 25, 2010, Air Canada has been online with direct scheduled flights between Toronto and Copenhagen after a decade of seasonal operations.
