Jun 24, 2020 (newstodate): From July 1, 2020, the AirLog Group has new owners: Allan G Nielsen and Claus Plath.
Together, the two partners have acquired AirLog from its current owner, Scan Global Logistics that took in the company with offices in Sweden, Denmark and Finland only in 2016.
Both partners build on long executive careers in logistics; Mr Nielsen starting at Leman in 1986 and later serving a/o with Geodis Wilson for eight years, ending up as Chairman of the Board, while Mr Plath traces his career from 1987 and serving with companies including Leman, Itella, Scan Global and Blue Water with managing director responsibilities.
-We are taking over all AirLog activities and offices, keeping the current staff and organization, except for the AirLog Group CEO, and are intent on pursuing a business plan focusing on medium-size customers with needs for transparent and hand-held logistic solutions, says Allan G Nielsen.
-From experience we know that tenders often result in piles of paperwork and costs leading nowhere, and our focus will rather be on combining our extensive networks to reach out to customers directly, offering efficient solutions not burdened by requirements on complex IT integration and procedures. Instead, we follow our customers from start to end, hands-on, and with a sharp eye on deliveries and results.
-The AirLog Group was up for sale, and we won the deal. From July 1, the company will again be fully on its own, stepping out from the shadow, and free to optimize its capabilities, says Mr Nielsen
