Jun 24, 2020 (newstodate): The Lithuanian IOSA-registered ACMI and charter carrier GetJet Airlines is returning to normal operations after the suspension of flights during the Covid-19 crisis.
Starting from July 1, 2020, GetJet will thus be restarting its regular passenger operations after having operated more than one thousand repatriation and all-cargo flights.
-We have expanded our operational capabilities with CCAR-129 Operations Specifications approved by Civil Aviation Administration of China. We have also improved cargo transportation on A330 and A320 fleet removing passenger seats, the carrier says in a release.
Managing the carrier is Darius Viltrakis, GetJet Airlines CEO at the helm of a fleet comprising 17 aircraft including nine Airbus A320 Family aircraft, one Airbus A330-300 and seven Boeing 737-300/400 aircraft.
In May 2018, GetJet Airlines was granted a Foreign AOC by Transport Canada allowing it to launch air transport services to, from and within Canada.
So far the only carrier in the Baltic region to go wide-body, GetJet took delivery of an ex-Air China Airbus A330-300 aircraft on February 1, 2019, and was considering - at least prior to the Covid-19 - adding more Airbus A330 aircraft to the fleet.
