May 05, 2020 (newstodate): After long weeks with suspension of all passenger flight movements, excluding repatriation operations, Lithuania's Vilnius Airport is cautiously opening up.
The Lithuanian authorities have allowed the curfew on passenger flights at the airport to be lifted from May 10, 2020, and the first carrier into Vilnius Airport will be Lufthansa with three weekly rotations from Frankfurt, airBaltic plans to start flights between Riga and Vilnius on May 13, and Wizz Air will be back on the route between Tallinn and Kiev also from May 13, 2020.
Finnair is also returning from May 14 with a daily rotation between Helsinki and Vilnius, going up to two daily rotations from May 18, 2020.
