May 13, 2020 (newstodate): As earlier announced, Qatar Airways will increase its scheduled services to all four Nordic capital airports from June 2020.
   One Scandinavian airport earlier on the network has, however, been missing in the plans - but now Gothenburg Airport can also look forward to seeing Qatar Airways returning  flights from Doha, starting from October 25, 2020.
    Qatar Airways launched flights from Qatar to Scandinavia with Stockholm as its first destination from November 27, 2007, adding flights from Qatar to Copenhagen from March 30, 2010, and to Oslo from October 5, 2011, rounding off in the Nordic region with flights to Helsinki, Finland, from October 10, 2016, and finally adding its 5th Nordic, and 2nd Swedish destination, Gothenburg, from December 18, 2018.
   Since January 2020, Menzies provides Qatar Airways with  ground handling services at Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg, while handling of Qatar Airways in Oslo has remained with SAS Ground Handling, and handling of Qatar Airways at Helsinki has remained with Swissport.
