May 27, 2020 (newstodate): Finnair has signed a 10-year Global Maintenance Agreement with ATR covering its fleet of ATR 72-500 aircraft.
The ATR aircraft are placed with Norra operating a total of 12 aircraft of this type serving Finnair with flights on routes from Helsinki to destinations in Finland, the Baltic region, to Stockholm Bromma, and to Gdansk.
The contract comprises customised support from ATR to optimize maintenance costs and enhance the dispatch reliability of the ATR fleet.
The pay-by-the-hour contract covers the repair, overhaul and pooling services of Line Replaceable Units, along with their door-to-door delivery and an on-site leased stock of spare parts, blade maintenance and availability, and maintenance recommendations to enhance aircraft reliability.
In August 2018, the Danish airline DAT acquired 60 percent of the shares in Norra where Finnair retains the remaining 40 percent.
