CAAC banned all international flights by the start of the corona pandemic, and until March 29, 2020, only a maximum of 20 international flights a day arrived in China.
Since April 29, 2020, 17 Chinese and 25 foreign airlines have been allowed to resume international scheduled flights to and from China, and China now accepts flights by airlines from 39 countries including Japan, South Korea, North America, Canada, the UK and the EU.
This month, China plans to be handling 448 international scheduled flights, thus allowing for 14 flights a day from 43 cities in 35 countries of the world, according to an official from CAAC in a press interview.
