May 14, 2020 (newstodate): To a large degree, the air connectivity of the three Baltic countries rests on services provided by Latvia's airBaltic that suspended all flights from all three Baltic countries on March 17, 2020.
The question of reopening air services from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius as well as between the three countries thus largely rests on commercial decisions by airBaltic as well as national decisions concerning travel restrictions.
After receiving all of necessary permissions, airBaltic has now announced that flights will be reopened from Estonia's Tallinn Airport from May 18, 2020, on routes to Copenhagen, Oslo, Amsterdam - and from May 25 to Vilnius in Lithuania.
