May 25, 2020 (newstodate): Emirates closed down all, or most, international passenger flights from March 25, 2020, in response to the drop in demand due to the coronavirus.
The carrier has now again adjusted its planning for a cautious reopening of flights to many destinations on its route map.
Starting from July 1, 2020, Emirates will operate four weekly rotations between Dubai and Copenhagen with Airbus A380, going up to daily flights on the route from July 15, 2020.
Flights between Dubai and Stockholm will start from July 2, 2020, with four weekly rotations using Boeing 777-300ER, increasing to one daily rotation from July 11.
Flights between Dubai and Oslo will start only from August 1, 2020, against earlier July 2, with one daily Boeing 777-300ER service.
While the three Scandinavian markets are thus served by Emirates with flights to Dubai, the Finnish market relies on services by flydubai.
The state-owned carrier flydubai has now announced the resumption of services code-shared with Emirates between Helsinki and Dubai from June 7, 2020, with initially four weekly rotations using Boeing 737 aircraft.
