Apr 23, 2020 (newstodate): The Ukrainian cargo carrier Eleron is playing a vital role of the Chinese e-trade logistics serving the Ukrainian market.
With Riga Airport in Latvia as its pick-up point, Eleron now provides cargo flights to Kiev and Lvov in Ukraine with AN-26 aircraft connecting with incoming freighter operations from China via Moscow from Cainiao, part of the Alibaba Group.
Eleron performed its first flight between Kiev and Riga on January 17, 2020, later adding also flights between Lvov and Riga with AN-26 rotations lifting some 5.5 tonnes.
Starting this week, Eleron will reportedly increase the frequency of flights between Riga and Kiev to four weekly rotations, going up to five weekly flights from next month.
Eleron is also cleared to operate up to seven weekly rotations on the route between Lvov and Riga.
