Apr 16, 2020 (newstodate): As of today, the Board of SJSC Riga International Airport has a new chairwoman at the table: Laila Odina.
   Ms Odina takes up the position to manage Riga Airport until a permanent successor to Ilona Lice has been found through a formal tender process.
   Ms Lice abruptly stepped down on April 15, 2020, after some three years in the chair but on the Board since 2011, citing health reasons as the cause of her retreat.
   Taking up the driver's seat in a most challenging situation for Riga Airport, Ms Odina is however no newcomer to Riga Airport having been a member of the Supervisory Board since May 2018, and drawing on executive airline business experience including more than 15 years with airBaltic, three years with Azerbaijan  Airlines, and three years with UTAir.
