Apr 22, 2020 (newstodate): Oslo Seafood & Cargo Centre AS remains confident during the current challenging times in the industry.
At Oslo Airport, OSCC provides cargo customers with cargo terminal handling and cargo ramp handling for an airline portfolio including CAL Cargo Airlines, Silk Way West Airlines, Suparna Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Thai Airways, Norwegian and many others.
-While we of course see no growth, the situation is at least rather stable, and we are relieved to see that markets in China and South Korea have picked up again, says Roy Egil Skredderberget, OSCC CEO.
-Both Norwegian and Thai Airways have cancelled their long-haul flights, but Silk Way West Airlines is now operating two weekly flights; CAL Cargo Airlines is online with two weekly flights, Turkish Cargo is online with two weekly freighter flights plus another two operations in some weeks, while Cargolux and Singapore Airlines Cargo truck seafood cargo from Oslo to continental airports. All in all, we are handling some 3,500 tonnes of seafood cargo per month at our facilities in Oslo Airport.
-Times are indeed challenging, but we remain confident that Norway's seafood export volumes will continue to grow as markets gradually reopen as the fight against coronavirus gains momentum, says Mr Skredderberget.
