Apr 17, 2020 (newstodate): Iceland is badly hit with a growing list of route suspensions in the coming summer schedule.
Latest not-so-good news is the decision by Air Canada to cancel plans for seasonal flights to Keflavik Airport from Montreal and Toronto.
In summer 2017, Air Canada launched its seasonal flights to Iceland with a total of seven weekly flights - four from Toronto and three from Montreal, operated by its subsidiary Air Canada Rouge starting in June 2017 with Airbus A319 aircraft.
Earlier this month, two US airlines American Airlines and United Airlines also announced suspension of flights to Iceland in summer 2020 due to the coronavirus.
