Apr 22, 2020 (newstodate): While the Irish regional airline CityJet is still struggling for survival through a restructuring process, its subsidiary in Finland has now filed for bankruptcy.
Already from November 2019, CityJet Oy started a process towards winding down its operations in Finland.
CityJet Oy has been operating as provider of Nordic and European flights for SAS out of Helsinki and Stockholm with a fleet of Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.
Serving SAS, CityJet has also established a Danish subsidiary that is however still operating and not expected to dip.
In total, CityJet has been serving SAS with a fleet totaling 23 CRJ00 aircraft.
