Apr 06, 2020 (newstodate): American Airlines has again been forced to change its program for scheduled flights to Iceland in 2020.
In light of the current downturn, American Airlines has decided to cut flights to eight European destinations, including planned seasonal services to Iceland that were scheduled to start from June 4, 2020.
The carrier was to offer daily rotations using Boeing 757 aircraft on the route between Philadelphia and Keflavik replacing the route served seasonally since summer 2017 between Dallas and Keflavik.
Alone on the route will thus now be Icelandair that launched its seasonal flights to Philadelphia on May 30, 2017.
