Apr 15, 2020 (newstodate): Emirates closed down all, or most, international passenger flights from March 25, 2020, in response to the drop in demand due to the coronavirus.
Now, the carrier is planning for a cautious reopening of flights to many destinations on its route map, starting from May.
Emirates is thus to reinstate flights destinations in Scandinavia from June 22, 2020, with one daily rotation to Copenhagen with an Airbus A380, and a daily rotation to Oslo and Stockholm using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Emirates serves the Finnish market through a commercial agreement with the state-owned budget carrier flydubai operating on the route between Dubai and Helsinki from October 11, 2018, using Boeing 737 aircraft.
No details have yet been announced on the reopening of flights on this route, however.
