Apr 02, 2020 (newstodate): With the surge among passenger airlines to get a grip on the air cargo market, a Lithuanian developer and provider of components is opening a new product line.
Together with J&C Aerospace, Colibri Aero is offering operators of Airbus A320 Family aircraft a solution in the form of EASA-approved Cargo Seat Bags for commercial and humanitarian cargo transportation in passenger cabins.
The Cargo Seat Bags come in two versions - one for in-seat and another in under-the-seat versions offering 75 and nine kilo capacity, respectively.
The kits may be installed within only a few minutes and carry cargo in the form of mail, household goods, electronics and other commercial cargo as well as medical equipment and other kinds of humanitarian supplies.
-This is an all-new product marketing only from this week, but we are already in contact with over a hundred potential clients, and we expect the first contracts to be signed shortly, says Vilius Chodkevicius, Colibri Aero Business Development Manager.
Based at Vilnius, Lithuania, J&C Aerospace is the technical developer of the new product, with its sister company Colibri Aero serving as the sales and marketing agent.
