Mar 27, 2020 (newstodate): The state-owned company Lithuanian Airport is reshuffling its Board as the four-year term of office has ended for the current members.
As a first move, the Ministry of Transport and Communications has named three new members for the coming four years: Arijandas Sliupas, Egle Ciuzaite and Arvydas Vizgirda.
Among these, Mr Sliupas started out in the transport and logistics business from 1995, later served as Kaunas Airport General Manager 2007-12 and was appointed Vice Minister at the Ministry of Transport and Communication 1012-16, currently serving as Skyways Technics MRO Development Project Manager and Member of the Board at Kaunas Free Economic Zone.
Two more members will shortly be added to the Lithuanian Airport Board - one from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and one from the company itself.
After a passing flirtation with the idea of tendering the commercial management of the country's three state-owned international airports in Lithuania - Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga - they were instead put under unified management as one Plc since July 1, 2014.
