Mar 17, 2020 (newstodate): As of today, the Latvian carrier airBaltic has suspended its scheduled flights until April 14, 2020.
The suspension of services comprises all operations from the carrier's bases in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania.
Since February 28, 2020, an action group established by airBaltic has been regularly evaluating the latest situation to takes the necessary measures during this extraordinary crisis.
On March 16, 2020, the carrier performed a number of additional flights between Riga and European destinations London, Paris, Moscow, Brussels, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Vienna and Zurich before the international traffic was closed down, while inviting Latvian nationals and permanent residents of Latvia who wish to return after March 17, 2020, to fill a form on airBaltic's website for potential later repatriation flights.
