Mar 02, 2020 (newstodate): Georgia's Tbilisi Airport will see more traffic by Latvia's airBaltic from the summer 2020 schedule.
From April 4, 2020, airBaltic will add one rotation, increasing to eight weekly rotations on the route between Riga and Tbilisi, using Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
The route has proved a success with Riga Airport serving as a hub providing transfers between Tbilisi and the Nordic and Baltic markets as well as European markets including the UK.
As the first hybrid carrier to enter the Georgian market, airBaltic launched flights on the route from May 2, 2006, with two weekly rotations using Boeing 737 aircraft.
