Mar 11, 2020 newstodate): Quite surprisingly, Iran Air is now announcing the resumption of most flights to Europe after only a few days of suspension.
Only on March 8, 2020, the carrier announced the decision to stop all flights from Iran to European destinations, citing US sanctions' pressure on European countries without any mention of the deepening coronavirus-crisis.
Now, the carrier claims that its European flights will be resumed except for flights on routes from Tehran to Stockholm, Gothenburg and Vienna, following bilateral talks between Iran and the countries involved.
Until March 8, 2020, Iran Air was offering twice-weekly flights from Tehran to Stockholm Airport, once weekly to Gothenburg as well as flights to Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt, Hamburg, London Heathrow, Milan, Paris, Amsterdam and Vienna.
