Mar 17, 2020 (newstodate): The Icelandic cargo carrier Bluebird Nordic has landed a contract with Chapman Freeborn for cargo services between Europe and the USA.
Under the contract, Bluebird Nordic will operate two daily flights for Chapman Freeborn between destinations in Europe and the US East Coast using Boeing 737 freighter aircraft offering the capacity of 10-15 tonnes on flights out of Europe and 15 tonnes on the return flight.
On January 24, 2020, Lithuania's Avia Solutions Group signed an agreement with Bluebird Nordic's former owner, BB Holding to acquire all shares in Bluebird Nordic that continues trading under its own brand.
In the fleet of Bluebird Nordic are six Boeing 737-300/400 freighters providing ACMI cargo services for integrators and ad-hoc freighter wet-lease services throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
