Mar 20, 2020 (newstodate): Having at first sought to curb the coronavirus outbreak by red tape and denial, China is now exercising its soft power to brush off its image with medical supplies to the world.
This morning, the Lithuanian charter carrier KlasJet thus landed at Vilnius Airport with a donation from the Chinese Chamber of Commerce to the Lithuanian government, consisting of 200,000 pairs of medical gloves and 20,000 medical masks.
Brokered by Chapman Freeborn, the pro-bono flight was performed by a KlasJet Boeing 737-500 routed Vilnius-Dalian-Vilnius with a technical stop in both directions at Novosibirsk.
