Mar 26, 2020 (newstodate): The wheels are slowly beginning to spin again in China after the lock-down.
As one example, construction work on 65 new airports, including 27 state-level airports, has now been resumed, corresponding to 80 percent of all ongoing airport construction projects.
By the end of 2019, China operated a total of 238 commercial airports.
China plans to grow the number of commercial airports to 450 by 2035, including also the construction of several regional air transport hubs.
