Feb 26, 2020 (newstodate): It still remains to be seen if Oslo Airport will see a return of services by its first and only Chinese direct scheduled service in summer 2020.
So far, the latest oversight on Hainan Airlines' European routes and services in summer 2020 does not contain any rotations between Oslo and Beijing.
With the first flight on May 10, 2019, Hainan Airlines has been operating the route with a mix of Airbus A330-300 and Airbus A330-200 aircraft as the first direct non-stop passenger route between China and Norway.
The route proved only seasonal, however, and has not been operated during the current winter schedule.
Sharing the pleasure with 292 passengers in the cabin were some 16 tonnes of Norwegian seafood on the lower deck, much to the pleasure of Norwegian seafood exporters that had yearned for this service for years.
