The aircraft may be an option for Finnair's subsidiary Norra providing flights for Finnair on routes from Helsinki to destinations in Finland, the Baltic region, to Stockholm Bromma and to Gdansk with a fleet comprising 12 ATR72-500 and 12 E190 aircraft.
Finnair is in the process of implementing a fleet renewal in the next few years, and expected to acquire a significant number of narrow-body aircraft including new turbo-prop aircraft for the regional air services provider.
In August 2018, the Danish airline DAT acquired 60 percent of the shares in Norra where Finnair retains the remaining 40 percent.
