Feb 06, 2020 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has now divested of its last four remaining Boeing 737 Classic aircraft.
Following a tender, the four aircraft were acquired by Estonia's MRO provider Magnetic that has reportedly already placed them with new un-disclosed operators after maintenance and reconfiguration.
In March 2019, airBaltic entrusted Skytech-AIC to market four of the six Boeing 737-300 and two Boeing 737-500 aircraft together with their CFM56 engines.
Earlier, three of the carrier's Boeing 737-500 aircraft found a new life with Lithuania's KlasJet, with the first ex-airBaltic Boeing 737-500 aircraft entering service with KlasJet from January 2019, and the next two in Q2, 2019.
In the fleet of airBaltic are now 21 Airbus A220, and 12 Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft, that are next in line for being phased out, leaving airBaltic as an all-Airbus airline within three years.
