Feb 13, 2020 (newstodate): January 2020 saw a drop in air cargo volumes, including integrator traffic, at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
Down eight percent, y-o-y, the airport handled a total of 26,861 tonnes of cargo during the first month of the year.
Non-integrator belly cargo remains in the focus of the airport, and these volumes were actually up by nine percent, to a total of 11, 138 tonnes.
In opposite direction, cargo on all-freighter services were however down by 93 percent, to only 235 tonnes.
Behind this sharp decline was the suspension from the end of December 2019 of LATAM Cargo's weekly Boeing 767 freighter services to Latin America, leaving only Emirates Skycargo offering non-integrator all-cargo services at the airport.
Non-integrator trucked cargo saw an increase in volumes by 5.5 percent, y-o-y, to 7,025 tonnes in January.
Together, the integrators FedEx and DHL also saw volumes down 7.5 percent, y-o-y, to 6,209 tonnes in January 2020 contributing to the over-all decline in volumes at Copenhagen Airport.
