Feb 25, 2020 (newstodate): Air Greenland is pinning its future long-haul traffic on the new Airbus A330-800neo aircraft.
With entry into operations of the new aircraft slated for the end of 2021, the ageing Airbus A330-200 aircraft now operating the trunk route connecting Greenland and Denmark will be put up for sale.
Air Greenland has now contracted Skytech-AIC to market the aircraft, manufactured in 1998 and serving with Air Greenland since 2002.
The aircraft will by then be near the end of the service life in 2022 of the PW4000 power plants.
The acquisition of the new Airbus A330-800neo starts out as a MoU as a prelude to a firm order expected to be signed later this year.
