Dec 09, 2020 (newstodate): Ukraine's Antonov Airlines has announced that its AN-225 Mriya freighter aircraft will be put on the commercial air cargo market.
   -To provide additional lifting capacity, Antonov Airlines will enter the AN-225 aircraft into commercial operation, the airline says on its facebook page.
   So far, the mega-large freighter has been operating out-size special cargo flights as well as military and other governmental uplift assignments.
   Antonov Airlines is foreseeing an ever-increasing demand in the market for cargo capacity as the Covid-19 vaccine air logistics gains momentum, in addition to the sustained need for cargo capacity to lift PPE shipments out of China.
    The world's largest commercial aircraft, the AN-225 Mriya freighter is capable of lifting shipments up to 250 tonnes of cargo, and a record was set on April 19, 2020, as the aircraft landed in Paris with eight million masks totaling 1,000 m3 of cargo - the largest volume ever transported by air and requiring nine hours of unloading.
