Dec 04, 2020 (newstodate): FlyBosnia, set up in 2017, stopped all flights in September 2020, but is now planning for a rebound.
The carrier thus expects to restart flights in Q1/2021, signing a lease-agreement with lessor GA Telesis for three A320 aircraft, the first of which is slated for delivery already before the end of this year with the next two to follow by April 2021.
The airline is however still facing massive financial and debts problems, and in November 2020 Sarajevo Airport announced it would no longer handle FlyBosnia's aircraft and terminated its contract with the company due to unpaid debts.
-Since FlyBosnia did not settle its debts within the sixty-day timeframe and did not accept our proposed repayment plan, the handling contract between Sarajevo Airport and FlyBosnia has been terminated since November 17, 2020, the airport said on its website.
Behind the carrier is the al-Shiddi Group, the largest Saudi investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina and operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006
