Dec 14, 2020 (newstodate): This weekend, the Latvian carrier airBaltic received another two Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
With these deliveries, the carrier will be operating a fleet of 25 Airbus A220-200 aircraft.
The 24th aircraft lifted off on its first test flight already on September 29, 2020, and the 25th - and last delivery slated for 2020 - took to the skies on October 17, 2020.
In August 2020, airBaltic and Airbus signed an agreement on a revised Airbus A220-300 delivery schedule for the remaining aircraft on firm orders.
Under the agreement, airBaltic will take delivery of the last of the remaining Airbus A220-300 in this batch by early 2024, earlier slated for 2023.
airBaltic was the launch carrier of the Bombardier CS300, later renamed Airbus A220-300, with its first CS300 on scheduled flights from December 14, 2016.
