Dec 15, 2020 (newstodate): Swedish financial institutions have proposed a commercial credit to develop aviation projects in Vietnam, including the Long Thanh International Airport.
According to Vietnamese media, the USD 2 bio pledge will also suffice to cover the construction of a third passenger terminal at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport, with works to start by October 2021 and to be commissioned in 2023.
However, the pledge comes with the obligation for Vietnam to spend 30 percent of the total sum on acquisition of Swedish equipment, services and aviation products.
