Dec 16, 2020 (newstodate): Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme, the fully state-owned enterprise providing air navigation services to airspace users, is seeing traffic sharply down in 2021.
In this year's first 11 months, LGS handled 125,472 flights, down 55.3 percent, y-o-y.
33,276 flights were operated to and from Riga, down 58.5 percent, y-o-y, while 92,196 flights transited through Latvia's airspace, a decline by 54 percent.
In November 2020 alone, LGS handled 8,930 flights, down 58 percent, y-o-y, and also down 12.3 percent from October.
