Dec 07, 2020 (newstodate): Saturday December 5 was a day of jubilation for the new Danish charter and ACMI carrier under formation, airseven.
After a long period of waiting, the carrier's first two aircraft were finally cleared to fly with Danish pilots from East Midlands Airport to Roskilde Airport - an operation delayed by the harsh travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Airseven has leased the two Boeing 737-400 aircraft to be placed on the AOC of Copenhagen AirTaxi from a yet-undislosed lessor, and plans to start operations for Primo Tours and other tour operators from the Summer 2021 program while also offering the excess capacity on the ad-hoc charter and ACMI markets.
Behind the new airline are tour operator Primo Tours, Copenhagen AirTaxi, Klaus Ren also serving airseven CEO, as well as the private investor Carsten Kenneth Jensen.
