Dec 09, 2020 (newstodate): The Estonian carrier Airest is now returning to an all-SAAB aircraft fleet.
Based at Tallinn Airport, Airest has been operating a fleet comprising eight SAAB 340 freighter aircraft and one SAAB 340 aircraft in passenger configuration, as well as one Bombardier CRJ200SF and one Airbus A320 aircraft.
Airest was the first operator in Europe to take in a Bombardier CRJ200SF aircraft equipped with a large cargo door on a lease contract with US aircraft supplier Regional One.
In February 2020, Airest also took delivery of one Airbus A320-200 aircraft to gain a share in the growing market at the time for passenger aircraft ACMI and charter services.
