Dec 15, 2020 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport saw its total cargo volumes down by 36.3 percent, y-o-y, in the first 11 months of this year, to 203,129 tonnes.
While still a marked decline, it compares favorably to the period January-October 2020 that saw total volumes down by 47 percent, y-o-y.
In normal times relying on belly cargo by passenger aircraft, this segment dropped by 46 percent to only 63,697 tonnes as passenger traffic came to a virtual standstill as the coronavirus struck.
With a decline by 97 percent, cargo on freighters and all-cargo passenger flights was only 1,279 tonnes compared to 45,335 tonnes in 2019.
Only trucked cargo volumes remained fairly stable, down eight percent, y-o-y, to 60,593 tonnes.
Excepting the overall figure, tonnages reported here are excluding volumes on integrators at Copenhagen Airport.
