Dec 15, 2020 (newstodate): Defying gloomy prospects hovering over the global aviation industry, Bulgaria's newcomer Gullivair has high ambitions for 2021.
Managed and founded by Ianko Ivanov, previously managing BH Air, Gullivair received its AOC in August 2020 with plans for offering charter and ACMI services from its base at Sofia Airport.
In the fleet is now one Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with one more to follow shortly, and plans are to add a further three Airbus A330 aircraft by June 2021, in time for the coming summer schedule.
Gullivair has announced plans for launching scheduled flights to New York, Toronto and Delhi, and one Airbus A330 will be dedicated to serving long-haul charter flights to overseas tourist destinations from Bulgaria and Romania.
Gullivair will also add ATR72 aircraft to operate on domestic and regional routes.
