Dec 10, 2020 (newstodate): Latvia's airBaltic has published its tentative Summer 2021 schedule starting from March 28, 2021.
If all current Covid-19 restrictions are lifted around Europe, the carrier will be operating flights from Riga to 65 destinations across its network, including flights on five new routes.
The new routes from Riga will connect to Manchester, Yekaterinburg, Yerevan as well as Bergen and Trondheim in Norway.
In effect, Manchester first entered airBaltic's route network in 2003; flights to Yekaterinburg were planned to launch already from June 3, 2014, but suspended by the deepening crisis over Ukraine; Yerevan was first launched on April 17, 2008; Bergen was first put on the route map from March 26, 2006, leaving only flights from Riga to Trondheim as a novelty.
The same four destinations were however already presented in October 2019 as news in an announcement on planned summer 2020 schedules.
The airline also hopes to resume flights on 17 other routes that, due to restrictions, were not served in summer 2020.
