Nov 26, 2020 (newstodate): The Ukrainian LCC and charter carrier SkyUp Airlines has announced highly ambitious plans for the coming summer 2021 schedule.
Already announced earlier are flights to destinations in France, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Georgia, Spain, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Armenia, Albania, Turkey, and Israel.
In addition, preparations have now been launched to start operating flights to Denmark and Sweden as well as to Portugal, Poland, Germany, Jordan, Serbia, the Netherlands, and Slovakia in summer 2021.
As earlier reported by newstodate, plans were to introduce services on the route between Kiev and Stockholm with Boeing 737-800 aircraft offering two weekly rotations already from October 27, 2020 - but this was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Flights to Denmark is a novelty, but so far no details on frequency, destinations and aircraft type have been revealed.
Starting operations from May 2018, SkyUp is fully owned by Ukrainian capital, with 50 percent of the stake held by the owners of the country's leading tour operator JoinUp, Tatiana and Yuri Alba.
In the fleet are now two Boeing 737-700, three Boeing 737-900ER, and six Boeing 737-800 aircraft, but plans are to expand the fleet to 14 aircraft in 2021, and to 18 aircraft in 2022.
