In a statement from the company, Turkish Cargo claims to have lifted China-manufactured Covid-19 vaccines from China to Brazil.
The shipments filled seven temperature-controlled ULDs from Beijing to Sao Paolo with a transfer at Istanbul Airport.
To cater to the rising needs for pharma shipments including the coming rush in vaccine logistics, Turkish Cargo has commissioned a further 1,200 sq m temperature-controlled warehouse, and increased its cold chain capability to 25,000 tonnes per month, with the ability to acute handling of 150 pallets at short notice.
CEIV-certified Turkish Cargo has been transporting some 40,000 tones of PPE and medicines in January-September, seeing pharma shipments rising 50 percent, y-o-y, during the period.
