Nov 11, 2020 (newstodate): Air traffic to Iran is slowly picking up, measured in number of foreign airlines calling at Tehran.
The latest carrier to return services to Tehran is Aeroflot from November 18, 2020, on the route between Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport and Tehran-IKA, using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Aeroflot suspended flights on the route from April 2020 due to the Coronavirus.
Today operating flights at the Iranian airport are carriers including Qatar Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, SalamAir, flydubai, and Air Arabia.
Iran and Russia are currently working on implementing the visa-free agreement, allowing 15-day visits in Russia for tourist groups of five to 50 people, signed in March 2017.
