Nov 13, 2020 (newstodate): Once again, Italy stands behind its national carrier.
The coming new carrier named ITA will be purely state-owned and visions are optimistically to grow its fleet to 90 aircraft and 6,500 employees with a strict focus on long-haul traffic, notable route to the USA.
The decree to establish the new carrier will now be sent over to the EU Competition Commissioner for scrutiny.
