Nov 19, 2020 (newstodate): A new airline under formation in Norway remains without an official name - but now has a CEO at least..
The main driver in the team behind the new venture, Erik G. Braathen, has named Tonje Wikstrøm Frislid to take the Captain's seat in the coming management team that also comprises Thomas Ramsdahl as CCO and Brede Huser as CFO.
Ms Frislid takes up the position with a firm grasp on airline management after more than 10 years with the LCC Norwegian serving as VP Crew Management till March 2018.
The yet-unnamed carrier has applied for an own AOC with the Norwegian CAA, and when granted plans are to offer direct low-cost flights also to Europe with an initial fleet of five Boeing 737-800 or Airbus A320 aircraft by H1, 2021, supported by a staff growing to 400 employees by 2022.
The new airline project that made its first public appearance early in October 2020 is spearheaded by Erik G. Braathen, leading a team of seasoned professionals in Norway's aviation industry including Brede Huser, Thomas Ramdahl, Asgeir Nyseth, Alf Sagen, Bjorn Erik Barman-Jenssen and Tord Meling.
