Nov 02, 2020 (newstodate): The coming new Danish charter and ACMI carrier Airseven will start out with two aging Boeing 737-400 aircraft currently in the paint shop in the UK.
Once delivered at the base at Aalborg Airport, they will be placed on the AOC of Copenhagen Air Taxi that will operate and maintain the fleet.
Behind the new carrier is Danish tour operator Primo Tours in addition to several private risk-willing investors.
-Airseven will start operations for Primo Tours and other tour operations from the Summer 2021 program, but even before that we will be offering ad hoc charters and ACMI services for other customers as requested, says Klaus Ren, Airseven CEO.
-These are indeed challenging times for the industry, but in contrast to most airlines in today's business environment Airseven starts out without a debt pile and thus with a low cost base.
-Our decision to launch Airseven builds on our expectation that times will slowly return to normal again, and we will thus be well positioned to take part in the coming recovery, says Mr Ren, last in the aviation business as Jet Time founder, President and CEO for nearly 10 years until January 2016.
