Nov 05, 2020 (newstodate): The Icelandic passenger and cargo ACMI provider Air Atlanta Icelandic has withdrawn three Boeing 747-400 passenger aircraft from the fleet.
As well as four other similar aircraft, the three aircraft have been serving on a contract with the ACMI provider's lead costumer Saudia but have been stuck on ground for a prolonged period during the coronavirus pandemic.
Aged between 18 and 23 years, they are now destined for part-out and scrap at Cotswold Airport, with the first to go now and all three eventually ending up at the demolition line before the end of this year.
