Nov 11, 2020 (newstodate): All is well with the Danish charter and ACMI carrier Great Dane Airlines' operations in Vietnam that commenced from September 29, 2020.
-The operations have performed excellently with an on-time performance at 99.4 percent, says Thomas Hugo Moller, Great Dane Airlines Mng Dir.
-The cooperation with Bamboo Airlines has been flawless, and the scope of operations has even been expanded with more frequencies beyond the original plans. Aircraft and crews have fully adjusted to the unfamiliar environment and no snags have occurred along the road.
-Great Dane Airlines will soon see another wet-lease provider to Bamboo Airlines, the Polish carrier LOT also providing two Embraer aircraft. We are now assisting them in setting up their operation by sharing our experience as good colleagues in the aviation business, putting aside all notions of competition, says Mr Moller.
In July 2020, Great Dane Airlines landed the six-month contract with the Vietnamese carrier Bamboo Airways to operate two Embraer E195 aircraft together with 45 cockpit and cabin crew members on three domestic routes into Con Dao, a small airport with 1,800m runway.
The operation was originally planned to launch already by early August, but postponed due to the abrupt recurrence in late July of Covid-19 in Vietnam
