Nov16, 2020 (newstodate): Looking for encouraging news in times of coronavirus, Nordic airport passenger statistics for October 2020 is not the right direction to turn.
All four Nordic capital airport report a sustained dramatic low in traffic and volumes; with 146,937 passengers handled, Finland's Helsinki Airport was hit the worst, reporting a shortfall of 92 percent of its passenger flows, compared to 2019.
In October, Copenhagen Airport handled 394,270 passengers which was still down 85.5 percent compared to 2019.
Sweden's Arlanda Airport handled a total of 463,865 passengers in October - down 79.3 percent, y-o-y.
Percentage-wise, Norway's Oslo Airport came out only microscopically better, down "only" 78.1 percent, y-o-y, after handling 563,221 passengers in October 2020.
